The food is stored in two compartments that are sealed with tight fitting lids and is also kept chilled by built in icepacks to keep it fresh for the day’s next feeding. The Cat Mate C20 Automatic Pet Feeder allows pet owners to set a timer (by turning it clockwise) on each side’s lid that will open the lid at the specified time and as mentioned each lid can be set to open at once or separately. The built in icepacks will keep wet properly chilled and fresh for approximately 15 hours (less time in hotter environments.)
