This is true throughout the year, but especially during the heat of summer. The Water Dog works with the use of an electronic eye that is powered by 4 C batteries. Battery power is preferred so you don’t have to worry if the power goes off for any length of time. When your pet approaches within approximately a foot of the sensor, the unit will allow water to be released. The water source is your garden hose, so you can mount the fountain in the most convenient location that has a hose nearby.
The Waterdog is made of ABS plastic and has a low battery indicator as well as an emergency lock out feature. This sturdy unit measures 3 1/2″ x 6″ x 14″.
